This page explains what we collect when you contact the studio, book a consultation or commission a piece, how that information is used, and how you can reach us about it. It applies to shikharjewellers.com and to conversations that begin here and continue in the workshop.
When you send an enquiry or request a quote, we receive your name, email address, phone number and whatever you write in the message field. For commissions we also keep the details you share during consultation: ring sizes, wrist and chain measurements, karat preferences, stone choices, engraving text and any reference images you send us.
Our hosting and analytics tools record standard technical information such as browser type, device category, approximate region and the pages you open. Cookies and similar identifiers help the site load correctly and show us which pages are actually useful. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some preferences may reset.
Your details are used to answer enquiries, prepare quotes and timelines, track an order through casting, stone setting and polishing, and follow up on repairs or resizing. We also use contact information to send order updates and, if you ask for it, care reminders for gold, diamond and temple jewellery.
Access stays inside the studio and with the service providers that keep the site and inbox running, such as our hosting provider, email and form delivery service, and analytics tools. These providers process data on our instructions. We do not sell client lists or share measurements and stone preferences for outside marketing.
Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept only as long as needed to answer you and then cleared in our regular housekeeping. Commission records, including quotes, measurements and care notes, are retained so that future repairs, resizing or matching pieces can be handled accurately.
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, request a copy in a portable format, or ask us to delete it where no open order or legal duty requires us to keep it. You can also withdraw consent for marketing messages at any time. Write to us and we will confirm what we did.
